1. Nature of the Service
Goldsboro Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public record routes, record indexes, and historical directory collections relevant to Goldsboro and Wayne County, North Carolina. It does not host government files and is not affiliated with any government office, court, library, or records custodian.
2. Permitted Use
Use the service only for lawful purposes. You may not use the service or material reached through it to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm a person
- Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit fraud, identity theft, or impersonation
- Make a decision governed by the FCRA, including credit, employment, insurance, housing, or tenant decisions
- Scrape, copy, or republish the service at scale
- Interfere with the operation or security of the service
3. Consumer Report Status
Goldsboro Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Nothing on the service or returned by a linked tool is a consumer report, and it may not be used to determine eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another FCRA-covered purpose.
4. Linked Resources
Government portals, library collections, and third-party search providers have their own terms, policies, availability, fees, and data practices. We do not control those external services and are not responsible for their content or results.
5. No Warranties
The service is offered “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that any page, link, office detail, coverage date, record, or outside resource is complete, current, accurate, or continuously available.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages resulting from use of the service or a linked resource, including decisions based on a record.
7. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the operators harmless from a claim, demand, loss, or reasonable attorney fee arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.
8. Content Ownership
The original text, logo, layout, and design are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short passage with attribution are allowed. Republishing entire pages or systematically copying the service is not allowed.
9. Changes to Terms
We may revise these terms by posting an updated version here. Continued use after the posting date means that you accept the revised terms.
10. Access Restrictions
We may limit or end access, without notice, for a user who violates these terms, abuses a search tool, or threatens the safety, reliability, or security of the service.
11. North Carolina Law
North Carolina law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Public records remain subject to N.C. Gen. Stat. Chapter 132, including G.S. 132-1, 132-6, and 132-6.2. Those provisions concern access to existing public records; they do not require Wayne County, Goldsboro, or a state office to create a new report or compilation.
12. Severability
If a court finds one part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts continue in effect.
